This September the MRG are holding a special Insight Exchange, kindly hosted by Ipsos at their fantastic Thomas More Square office, right by St Katharine Docks. Come along for a great line-up of speakers and discussion, the chance to connect with fellow media researchers, and refreshments along the way.
Beckie Goodfield, Head of Audience Measurement Commercial at Ipsos will present "We British: From Walkmans to Wi-Fi to What?”
Using four decades of Ipsos trend data and digital audience measurement, this session explores how Britain has changed since the 1980s and what that means for media. From social media and online shopping to AI adoption and changing patterns of connection, we'll examine the long-term shifts shaping audience behaviour today and consider what comes next for brands, publishers and advertisers.
Tom Quick, Founder & CEO, EntityX and Ipsos will present "Closing The Gap Between Insight And Activation"
Research and media activation still live in two different worlds: a brand or media owner produces rich, panel-grounded audience insight, then loses most of its fidelity at the point of activation, where it is translated into off-the-shelf segments and broad categories. This session shows how fusing panel data and addressable media into a single semantic space closes that gap, making insight directly addressable, so the audience the research found is the audience the media actually delivers.
