As an Audience Insight Analyst your role will be to work closely with the strategy, scheduling and marketing teams and other stakeholders from across the business to inform and influence decision making. Whilst there is an element of regular reporting by everyone in the team, the rest of your time will be used to provide insights on an array of topics relating to the Sky Entertainment channels. Projects can range from assessing the performance and value of a title or channel to Sky customers and prospects based on what they have told us or more general viewing analysis to determine what content is or isn’t working on a channel, to analysing competitor performance in order to drive understanding of opportunities and threats to Sky’s content offering.
What you'll do:
- Producing regular viewing and performance reports for Sky Entertainment channels.
- Addressing questions on a range of topics through bespoke analysis to aid scheduling, marketing, PR, or strategic decisions.
- Being responsible for preparing PowerPoint presentations on ad-hoc projects and programme reviews, especially for Sky Original content for the likes of ‘Gangs of London and Liverpool Narcos to A League of Their Own and Portrait Artist of the Year ’.
- Understanding the value of Sky content among Sky customers through the regular trackers and ad hoc research.
- Ensuring Sky Entertainment channel teams understand Sky subscriber viewing behaviour and the drivers of important metrics.
- Working in tandem with other research teams within Sky to produce ad hoc insight projects to keep stakeholders informed of the latest performance trends around key content.
What you'll bring:
- Be highly numerate and statistically literate with a high level of attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with strong analytical and numerical skills, you’ll be able to work well as part of a team, juggle priorities and hit deadlines.
- Ability to analyse large amounts of data and information and condense findings down to concise conclusions and recommendations, with strong attention to detail.
- Two to three-year experience in insight and analysis is desirable, preferably in a media environment.
- TV audience measurement and analysis systems (e.g. Techedge).
- Demonstrable passion for TV programmes and understanding of the TV market.
- Have an enquiring mind that thrives on new challenges, problem solving and a dynamic environment.

The Sky audience insight team helps deliver useful insight to answer business questions and track the performance of our portfolio of entertainment channels (such as Sky Showcase, Sky Witness, Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Nature and others). If you’re passionate about TV and exploring the possibilities of data led insight this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the insight and strategy teams supporting the Sky entertainment portfolio.
