100 years of the BBC means 100 years of BBC Audience Research

We are delighted to announce the BBC is hosting an exclusive event for MRG members. You'll get to hear how audience research has played a significant role in the ongoing success of one of the world's best-known media brands.

The line-up....

The Traitors

The first new reality show on BBC One in 20 years, The Traitors was a runaway hit for the BBC in December. Banishing critics and murdering the competition, the show went from an unknown brand to one of the biggest titles on TV for young audiences in a few short weeks. The BBC Audiences team were faithful from the start, playing an integral role in The Traitors story, and we’ll discuss our input into this instantly iconic brand.

Tackling the Podcast Insight Gap

What are the most popular podcasts?  Who is listening to my podcast?  What do they like about it? How is my podcast being discovered? Podcast measurement remains a challenging area, not least to give commissioners the insight they need to make the next big hit.  Working together, Research and Analytics addressed this challenge to try to address the podcast measurement gap.

Saving The Evening News

There has been no shortage of historic news events recently, but evening TV news programmes are seeing some of their lowest audiences in years. So, why have people stopped watching? What do they want from news providers in the evening? And how can TV news programmes turn things around?

The Boss of Radio 1

Hear from Aled Haydn Jones, Head of Radio 1, on the important and changing role of audience insight and data in shaping the UK’s biggest station for 15-24s.
