Conference 2020 Call for Papers

It has been a difficult few months and no doubt we have some difficult months ahead of us.  In these ‘unprecedented times’, we’ve had to postpone our Sitges conference but in the immortal words of Freddie: the Show Must Go on!
♫ “Does anybody know what we are looking for?”
How has research helped to improve our understanding of how consumers have coped this year and what they’re looking for as we move out of lockdown into uncharted waters? What insights can you share in terms of what 2021 will look like for our industry?
♫ “Does anybody want to take it anymore?” ♫
The situation in recent months has inevitably meant that some research techniques have been even more of a challenge than we’ve seen in the past. What learnings can you share in terms of new approaches to engage with consumers? Have you discovered new methodologies and how will that influence the approaches we rely on in the future?
♫ “Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance” ♫
Have you taken a risk this year and done something new that you want to tell us about?
♫ “I guess I'm learning” ♫
Without a doubt, this has been a year of ‘learning as we go’ so please share some of the highlights (and lowlights) of how you’ve ensured that your business has succeeded in this challenging year.
♫ “The show must go on” ♫ … the theme for our London 2020 conference; further details to follow in due course but please email your paper submissions to by close of play 28th August 2020.  Submissions can be in any format but one side of A4 only please or they will be rejected; please note that they must be submitted by a fully paid-up MRG member.  Please include details of your proposed presentation length and the names of all presenters and any other relevant information.  Please note that we are not in a position to offer free conference tickets to presenters this year but we assure you that we plan to keep the ticket price as cheap as possible this year to ensure that as many people as possible can attend.
