2020 MRG Awards Roundup

Without the glitz and glamour of a beautiful venue, bottomless bubbles and getting our gladrags on, The MRG Awards 2020 was celebrated on Thursday 3rd December via a Zoom ceremony.

To get presenters, judges, committee members and finalists in the spirit we posted a selection of party packs out for individuals and teams, and we donned our most festive outfits for the occasion. We laughed and cheered at some of the eye-wateringly creative celebration videos, and importantly, we drank!

It was a hotly contested set of entries this year. Despite COVID19 ruining most people’s year, we received the same volume of entries overall as 2018, and a record number for the Nick Blake Award for Rising Star (sponsored by Channel 4 & Ipsos MORI) which we made free of charge to enter for the very first time.

Some of you may know that the MRG Awards are usually a bi-annual event, coinciding with the European conference, but 2020 marked our first effort to move these to being an annual celebration of our industry’s talent. Keep your eyes peeled for the 2021 Awards opening in the summer, but until then…

The MRG would like to send a HUGE congratulations to our worthy winners and highly commended entries, a massive thanks to our fantastic judging panel and of course our headline sponsors, STRAT7 ResearchBods for supporting us in such an unusual year.
